I have been in the optical industry since 2002 and have gained a lot of experience within the medical aspect of the profession. Like Marta, I’m keen to ensure that each of my patients receives an eye examination that’s both thorough and professional, using the very latest technology.

I qualified as a dispensing optician in 2004. I then began working at a central London practice, where I gained a wealth of experience in spectacle lens choice and specialist frame fitting.

In 2006 I re-qualified as an optometrist, at City University, before joining a busy practice in south London. It was here that I developed a keen interest in contact lenses. I also learned to fit many types of lens, for conditions such as diseased corneas, very high prescriptions, toric lenses for Astigmatism and multifocal lenses for Presbyopia.

My passion is for fitting specialised contact lenses on irregular corneas and I find it so rewarding to see my patients happy. As a contact lens wearer of several years myself, I understand the impact that improved vision has on a person’s quality of life. I have attended conferences on specialist contact lenses and am a member of the British Contact Lens Association and the Association of Optometrists. This has kept my knowledge as up-to-date as possible, and has allowed me to remain at the cutting edge of contact lens technology and techniques.

Marta and I met whilst working together in a central London clinic, where we discovered our shared ambition of opening a boutique practice. We then decided to start Oval Eyes, providing professional eye care and the best customer service.
